BOIDs + Perception Delay Simulation
Controls
Boids (bird-oids) are simulated flocking creatures that demonstrate emergent behavior through simple rules: alignment, cohesion, and separation.
What you're seeing:
• Blue triangles: Actual boid positions
• Red dots: Where other boids perceive them to be
Perception delay creates lag between a boid's actual position and where others see it.
Higher delays show how flocking behavior changes when individuals have outdated information about their neighbors.
